Dear James, I bought a Seagate Baracuda 30 gig HD about 2 yrs. ago. I have it hooked up to my 6500 running OS 9.1 through a Firewire port. It does fine. It is an external, though.
Seagate has a good reputation. They are manufactured, or were at least, over in Scott's Valley about 30 miles from here. (I live in Silicon Valley).
