Has anyone run a 7600 machine with an 8500 processor? I recently upgraded my 8500 with a 180Mhz processor and put the 150Mhz in this 7600. The computer has several problems. For example, I had to do a motherboard swap (purchased from a dealer) because the ports were not working. I thought the computer was kind of too slow and sluggish (with the 132Mhz processor) and had other problems as well, then I installed the 150Mhz, the series of problems persist... like for example, I have an external modem and the computer wont stay connected to the web for more than a couple of minutes it keeps disconnecting, the modem I tested with the 8500 and it doesn't happen there, just here. Is there a mix-match here, what's wrong? Has anyone attempted this with their 7600 (specially because the processor card says "for 8500 and 9500 use only") should I pay attention to the warning and put the old proceesor back? Thanks.
