Hi, I have a Power Macintosh 7200/120 running mac os 7.5.5. I was

What you are looking for is called a proxy server.

for 7.5.5, options are limited. there was one (not cheap) commercial solution that was a nice GUI put on top of Apache basically, but I can't recall the name. I used that at a univ. in 1997 or 1998 on a powermac. Webstar too in later versions could be a proxy server, but I'm not sure about the old version for 7.5.5. It's in the version released in 2000 for sure.

A website for proxy server stuff in general is http://www.wazmac.com/ wazza/networking/proxy.html but they really talk about stuff needing a newer OS than you have.

http://www.macorchard.com/server.html

lists "Pipeline" which has a powermac version, so you may be in luck.

anyway some googling with "mac proxy server" or similar keywords should get you started. the only one I've ever maintained at all was that spendy solution (it's going to bug me all day about the name...)

HTH.
