Looking for suggestions on what I need to perform two tasks with my setup
which includes a 7300/180 upgraded to G3 and a 6500/250:

1. Play DVDs
2. Burn CDs

At first it seemned that the simplest solution would be to simply install a
combo DVD/CDR drive, but do they (or did, rather) even make these with SCSI
interface? Might I be better off getting a cheap DVD player to hook up to
the television and simply install a SCSI CD recorder in one PCI Mac? I was
playing with the idea of getting rid of the TV altogether, but right now I'm
more interested in saving money. Not sure exactly when SCSI died, but would
finding a SCSI DVD player be easier than finding a combo drive? I mean, with
two Macs, I could put the DVD player in one and CD recorder in the other. I
just don't have enough information to make an informed decision.
