As far as Internet rebukes go, that one is pretty mild (though I would have put the word "please" after the the word "first" myself). For "harsh" check out Slashdot; Wow. ¬_¬ And Mr. Walther does have a point: When you snip text and only include the relevant parts of a previous post, that makes you [gasp] a _thoughtful person_. One whose posts are more apt to be taken seriously because you've clearly made the effort to do some editing and have therefore spared your fellow listers from having to plow through a lot of stuff they've *already* seen (or just plain don't need to see) in order to get the point. Also, let's not forget that the list moms/masters/etc. get charged for bandwidth. When you don't bother editing your posts, you're displaying contempt for the people who run the list. You know, the list that you get a lot out of but pay *nothing* for (though donations are accepted). In light of these things, is editing your posts *really* too much to ask to keep the list going?
