A small network with a beige G3 running OS9.1, a G4 with OS 9.1 and an iBook
running Tiger has the following problem: the OS 9 machines can log onto the
OS X'ed iBook, and transfer files, but the iBook cannot log onto the two OS
9 machines, giving an error message saying something like 'the machine you
are trying to log onto has the wrong version of AFP.'

How can I get the OSX'ed iBook to lof onto those OS 9 machines?

In the File Sharing control panel on the OS 9 machine is the "Enabled File Sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP" check box checked. It needs to be for Tiger to access it.
