The University of Hawaii has hosted both the Sloop Nationals fall 1992 and the PCCs in fall of 1996 and it would take some convincing to talk me into hosting again. As for lack of interest I do believe the event(s) provide an opportunity for some people that are to big for the dinghies to compete for a national championship. The University of Hawaii most likely not participate due to budgetary reasons if it is not considered to be part of the National Championships. HOW ABOUT THOSE RAINBOWS!!!!!!! SUGER BOWL BABY!!!!!

MAISA is proposing to ICSA/Championships Committee to eliminate Sloop Nationals based on the lack of interest coupled with difficulty in procuring boats and hosting the event, not to mention the difficulties involved in hosting the in-district qualifying events. How does our district feel about this proposal? Let me know so I can represent our district accurately. -Amy PCCSC Championships Committee Representative ------------------------------------------------ Amy Gross-Kehoe Coordinator of Club Sports Ford Center Stanford Athletics 641 E Campus Drive Stanford, CA 94305 650-725-0745 Office 650-704-9770 Mobile 650-725-7242 Fax Office Hours: M-W 8:30a-5:30p; Th-F 8:30a-12:00p (Teaching @ Boathouse in afternoons!) __________________________________________________ pciyra mailing list [email protected] http://www.collegesailing.org/mailman/?listname=pciyra --------------------------------- Get easy, one-click access to your favorites.
