Roger, I've seen those many times, but in every case, there
always was a difference in some way from one side to another.
There ARE many cdr disk brands out there that have no labels,
this is getting fairly common. One brand that comes to mind
is Kodak Gold 12x, as well as most 50-100pk spindles. They
have no labels, but they (in the Kodak's case) are easily
identified by one side being a matte gold finish and the data
side being blue and glossy. Just put one in and using
adaptec's DCD, just try and format it. If it won't see the
disk or format it, just flip it over.

That's the side that records the data / music etc.
If your new discs don't have that on either side, you may

them to the
store where you purchased them.
The only other way is try to record something on them which I
suspect will
not work if it does not have the "groove" pattern as I
mentioned above....
Also, all recordable cdr discs have labels on them for you to
write on them.
