Nope, Gerry....they are right on the money......you do mention that the
setting must be changed manually in the individual mail to override the
default....and in Outlook's case, the "default" is      ALWAYS the format of the
sent message you are replying to....definitely one of Outlook's big
shortcomings, IMO

but, we are still waiting to hear if this person is REPLYING or initiating a
new mail when he gets the HTML setting....if he has plain text set as his
default and is getting HTML in new messages, then there is definitely
something messed up in his install of Outlook.....if he is replying to HTML
mail and getting HTML, then Outlook is working as designed.....crappy
design, I admit, but that's the way Outlook works

I  have Outlook setup as plain text and I PURPOSELY created a signature that
shows in a funky font when in HTML so I will be reminded to change it to
plain text before I hit send when replying....otherwise my mail goes out in
HTML if I forget
