I hope you read this Linda as I lost your suggestion and do not have your
email address.
Anyway you are correct I have reloaded win 98 several times over the past few
months. I checked the Windows.000 file and the other Windows.000 file I have
which has a little approximate mark on it and I think it is called a tilde
before the 000. They both have megs of information in them! My question is
how do I get a clean install. and how do I get My document to show up on the
desktop again. I moved it to the Windows folder and tried putting it into the
desktop folder there and I tried it just in the Windows folder. Does not show
up on the desktop.
