If you are talking about a 'watermark', (image stays centered
and stationary when page is scrolled) NS does not support
these. Yeah I know, NS is a REAL PAIN!! Kills me when I
spend hours on a page, then look at it in NS, and it's
missing or completely dysfunctional! You would think they
would 'get with it' and support what IE does since over 80%
use IE. Currently my site stats show 87% IE (13% NS).
That's why it's a great idea for you IE users that have
websites to put NS on your pc to check your pages in NS. IE
is very forgiving and easy to design for, 180 difference for
NS.

I'm using a style sheet and centering a graphic on a black
back ground. It
works fine in IE 4+ but unfortunately NN4 doesn't support it.
I haven't
noticed any sluggishness at all even using @Home's page
server.

>From what I've found so far it's pretty much hopeless unless
I go another
route i.e. separate page pop up with strict size attributes
or placing every
thing in a big table with the background graphic set to what
I now have as a
page back ground. Or a java script.

How difficult should it be to show a centered &^#W$&@
background image in
Netscape LOL

It would be nice if IE and Netscape would at least get in the
same ball park
with their respective browsers.

I'll check with
