Not too long ago I added 256 megs to the 128 my Micron started with.  I did
not notice much of a difference.  Soon after I did a fresh install of
Windows 98 SE (same version) on the system and immediately noticed a speed
difference.

I believe I had read somewhere that to see the best use of extra memory, the
memory should be there when Windows is installed.

Has anyone else found this to be a fact, or was it just my imagination??

A friend has just added 128megs to her system and wonders if reinstalling
Windows would help.....
