After reading some information on this list regarding swap files with larger
amounts of RAM, I went to the link and it seemed so complex and time
consuming. Is there a good rule of thumb of how much swap file space you
should set?
I have a Win98 with 224 MB of RAM with a newer 20 GB hard drive. Can anyone
tell me what to set my swap file too? I have noticed at various times that
a software program I have comes up and tells me my system resources are
under 19! On the whole, my system doesn't usually crash, but occasionally
it does. I usually go and turn off as much as I can in my systerm tray, but
that doesn't seem to make a big difference. I also have gone in and taken
out many things so that they don't load at start up in the system tray.
Thank for any advice someone can give me or links to go and find out more
information myself.
