I use Vopt frequently and to some extent, the same requirements for
standard Windows Defrag apply. You still need to deactivate the more
vigorous disk writing files such as screen savers, instant messagers, etc.
I use EndIt All to get rid of most of my files, keeping my firewall and
virus checker active  (I have a cable connection), but leaving some that
are not intensive in disk access.  It usually takes me about 15-20 minutes
for 17 gig at about 8% frag.  Check with the Control/Alt/Del to see what is
running and take some of these out temporarily.  I think you should be able
to defrag at 1% in 10-15 minutes at the most.
