"Drive not recognized" is a typical error for two conditions:
1. loss of master boot record error
2. disk failure
For case 1. Use you boot floppy disk and type the command "fdisk /mbr" to
restore the master boot record. If this doesn't work then case 2 may be the
problem.
Run "fdisk /status" to check the status of the hard disk.
