This week I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall things, looonnnggg story. Now periodically my monitor shuts off and there is no drive activity while I'm working (so far only while I'm on the internet but never doing the same thing). When I turn the monitor off and then back on it says there's no signal. Sometimes when I "Ctrl" "Alt" "Del" the machine will
restart, sometimes it won't. When it doesn't and I try to turn it off with the power switch, nothing happens so I have to shut it off at the surge protector. What would be causing it to do that. I am running both an anti v*rus software which is current and Zone alarm and neither have told me of any v*rus or anything like that. I've run those two together for 6-8 months without any problems before so I don't think it's them. Yes, I have had my pc open this week so I suppose I could have loosened something and have checked that but I don't see anything amiss. It is intermittent and comes back up fine when I reboot.
