My Windows XP Professional Upgrade is on it's way. From what I have been reading, it seems it might be possible to do the following:
I have two physical drives. C drive is 15 gigs with Windows 98SE installed. D drive is 40 megs with just files on it (JPG's and MPEG's). I would like to leave C as it is and do a clean install of XP on D and have a duel (boot) system for a while. Sound like a good and do-able plan?? Second question: The music files on D are Windows Media Files with the liciencing "feature" attached. Can I move them to C and move the liciencing attachments with them? ----- Original Message ----- From: "richard portsmouth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, November 09, 2001 7:44 AM Subject: PCWorks: Re: WinXP - upgrade or clean install? > Clean installs are always preferrable as they tend to be > more stable than simply upgrading a current installation. > Make sure that you have run the WinXP system compatibility > utility and have taken steps to deal with any potential > conflicts it identified. > > The corporate edition of WinXP is for system administrators > who have to install XP on large numbers of PCs.
