I should mention that many people advise against what I am about to suggest.
I've used it for months and on multiple machines with no problem - your
mileage may vary etc. - you know the routine.

Anyway, there's something called Outlook Insecurity Patch at:

Works great as far as I can tell. Also, if I recall correctly, Chilton
Preview will allow opening.

It also seems like I read something about some version of Zone Alarm being
useful here (wasn't that a valuable tip.

If none of this helps I would imagine slipstick might be a good starting
point.

Aren't you glad Bill G is watching out for our well being (incidentally, the
service pack can not be uninstalled short of uninstalling office)
