This part?
smtp.mindspring.com is the same as mail.mindspring.com
If so, then the server names are the same. If you use either name you get
the same set of mail servers. One name is an alias for the other.

Only if you use a mail server other than the ISPs own server. That is, you
can only use the earthlink servers when logged on to earthlink.net and
mindspring servers when logged on to mindspring.com This is commonly
referred to as Port 25 blocking. You cannot log on to earthlink and send
mail using mindspring or vice versa.

Earthlink mail server names:
SMTP: mail.earthlink.net
POP: pop.earthlink.net

Mindspring mail server names:
SMTP: mail.mindspring.com (smtp.mindspring.com is same)
POP: pop.mindspring.com

Sorry, I know nothing about this program no how it works...
