Hello again, I hope I'm not wearing out my welcome with this subject. As you may or may not know, I'm now using, for the first time in my life, Outlook Express but only to humor the technician that I have been talking to that represents my server. (gci.net)
I was so happy to have finally, with the help of the list, found out why I was getting multipart/mixed content type instead of plain text. I had all the settings correct in Eudora but discovered the problem to be the certification scan in my AVG program. Once I turned the scan portion off I started getting plain text in my sent messages. I checked this by sending myself messages and reading the headers. I immediately made an attempt to notify the list that my problem had been resolved and wouldn't you know, the message was not posted because it didn't get past my server. I resent it the next morning and once again, it didn't make it past my server. The next logical step was to contact my server to see in they could give me any insight as to why my messages were getting stopped by their equipment. Marlene had checked and verified that the messages were not getting bounced on her end at pcworks. This brings me to the conversation with the tech at my server. The first thing he said was that I needed to get rid of Zone Alarm and use a hardware firewall. So now, because of his unfamiliararity with Eudora and ZA, he has asked me use Outlook Express to send messages to the list and see if that works. He also suggested that the list might be shut down but did contact the list at that point to verify that it was up and running. More later, I have to go to work, Lee Ross ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
