LISTEN to Gerry he knows. I also have AVG and Eudora and Agnitum's Outpost in configuration and have had no problems other than initially with the install. It is all in the configuration based on you particular needs. Do not say that someone tells you that you need to use a hardware firewall, what are you the FBI? IBM? Sun? Desktop firewalls are more than sufficient for average home or SOHO users. I have not used Outlook or OE x for over 2 years now and do not miss the constant barrage of vbs or vbe files coming across my desktop. Text e-mail is the most expedient and most safe way to go. Your problem from day one has been to over-intellectualize an otherwise simple interface of Eudora v. 5.1. Read every word of the pdf file downloaded from the Qualcomm site on Eudora 5.0 and you will be more than satisfied. PCMag has printed that Eudora is not as good as it once was based on very slim criteria some of which are; Archiving messages, which does not impress me at all. It is a trade off between safety and more comprehensive archiving. I have extensively used Pegasus Mail v. 4.01 as well and it is a mass of complicated filtering and non-intuitive interface. Eudora support has been very kind and thorough with me over the years as well. Stop worrying so much and enjoy your computing and learn on your own this is not a slave economy. :) Barry ~ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
