What a bunch of "$%$#@". Typical response from an MS droid tech. Hardware firewalls are used in corporate environments to protect the corporate LAN (or WAN) from the outside when the corporate LAN/WAN is also connected to the Internet. Internet -- Firewall -- Proxy Server(s) -- Intranet (LAN/WAN) If you happen to be using a router like LinkSys that has built-in NAT firewall you should still use a PC firewall program like ZA. In fact, the references given in the past few days say the same thing. See http://www.informationweek.com/story/IWK20020412S0009 I have been using Eudora since it first came out. I also use ZA with my Earthlink DSL line. In fact, I even used it with a LinkSys and a Netgear router that both had built-in firewalls. This has since been changed to a plain Netgear hub. And yes I also use AVG. -- Gerry Boyd ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
