Gerry and List, I think I've finally got it, thanks to your persistence. I have to admire your patience. Actually, according to the section on your website, I've had Eudora configured correctly all along. AVG was the problem. I had the certification turned off but not the part that scans the message. As soon as I turned that part off, it got rid of that multipart/mixed in the Content - Type line. I also got some info from my server about SSL. Since they don't support SSL, they suggest to set my configuration to "never". They also suggest to turn off the quoted-printable encoding. >You are still sending multipart messages, so please configure your Eudora >to send plain text messages. In reference to this email delay....Up until a few months back, I have only ever had one server and to my knowledge I never had a message sent back to me with exception to the times I put in the wrong address. Now that I've changed servers and got on "cable", all kinds of strange things are happening. I guess I'll have to accept this as something that can happen once in a while. >Now to answer the specific question of why the e-mail was delayed and >returned. > >Sometimes a host (domain) cannot handle a message immediately.
