Hi.. .Thanks everyone. I can't restore it.. I have the System Restoration CD.. (from
Gateway).. Computer is
almost 4 years old... Aug, will be 4 years.. and I checked on the System Restoration
CD and I can't restore it
that way..

When I go to the site, from Symantic.. It says - file not found. but then it does let
me view things.. but I
can't make head or tail of what' it's saying.. It doesn't have anything that will
tell me what else to do.

Yes, I am using SFC.. I had it set to MSCONFIG.. and changed it this morning. when
I've been trying to restore
this..

I dont' know what else to do.. I "hope" that I dont' really need this.. and wish I
knew for sure.. The only
new software I installed on my machine, is Corel Picture House, and I hope I can still
view pics.. (I took
that CD from my mom)..

Other than that.. I dont' know what to do. I was trying to be "on top of things" when
this email came in..
(from a friend) telling me - that this was a vir** and to get rid of it. and then -
not only did I rid myself
of it. .I "took out the darn trash".. LOL.. Shows how compulsive I am..

Oh well, hopefully.. this wont' effect my computer.. Lets hope.

Thanks for all your help.. I do appreciate it.. Ralph, you were 100% right, when you
said, I only had the
System CD.. I guess the Windows was installed by Gateway.. and they only gave me the
System CD..

Thanks again guys.
Helene
