If you're getting a BSOD when an infected email is scanned,
that's Norton AV doing that. That is one of the reasons I
went back to a OLD version of NAV. I had too many problems
with v. 2000, 2001 & 2002.

It sounds like you don't reboot very often. You should
always do that a few times a day even when you get no
crashes. You'll have a more stable PC (as far as
win95/98/SE/ME goes).

Thanks Jeff & Clint.

I know vir** and wor*s.. now, are a part of "life on the
computer". I guess I've been
lucky up until now..

I've also gotten that 'dreaded blue screen.'. and when that
happens.. I just reboot..
I used to get so terribly scared.. afraid, my whole system
would crash.. until I
learned that was a 'fact of life'.. and it will happen for no
reason -

When I got this computer, over 4 years ago. I had gotten it
from Gateway.. and the
system "crashed".. and they had me re-install everything..
when all that was
needed..was just to reboot.. Live and learn.. But I didnt'
know any better than. and
thought - they- the experts.. would help me.. I had to
reinstall Windows 98.. as well
as Netscape at that time..

Thanks for all your help..
