I have to plug a keyboard into the round port to type and it works fine. I think I did this before and locked the keyboard somehow, but can't seem to remember how I got it out that time. Only thing that works is the touch pad and r/l click. The NUM lock is lit, but that is it...pressing caps, does not light the cap lock. I just noticed the fan is not running...could over heating cause the keyboard to stop functioning? Thank you. BTW...Dell Inspiron 2600 WIN XP
