It is your only expense if you can find a free webhost with AR's. www.Doteasy.com is only one I Can think of right now that has TRUE DOMAIN NAME hosting (no subdomains) but I don't know if they have any AR's, they don't have SPAM filters. Of course through them it costs more to register a domain ($19 last time I checked) and $35 to TRANSFER an EXISTING domain to them, both one-time fees.
Now that I think about it, I don't know how Jeff did this since if you delete an email account(s) (like he did) I don't see how you can set up an AR for it! This has got me confused now....you can set up an AR even in OE or probably other email programs as well, but I don't understand how (again) if you delete an email account, how you can then setup an AR for it. Maybe a "catch all" email feature has to come into play here. I disabled mine because I was getting all sorts of BS sent to ANYTHING&[EMAIL PROTECTED] When you have this enabled, ANY and ALL email sent to your domain regardless of the non-existence of the email account, you get it. With it disabled, you only receive the emails that are to legit email accounts, so any AR for deleted email account shouldn't work. It's past my bedtime, so I'm a bit slow now, sorry! ;-) There are probably some free AR services on the web, but it would probably be hard to search for them because most hits would be "free AR's with webhosting packages" and the like. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner Want to exchange links with us? http://OrpheusComputing.com On 30 Jun 2003 5:18 -0500, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote, at least in part: > Not sure what you're asking Karl. :) > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Karl Springer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > On 29 Jun 2003 19:07 -0400, Jeff Dougherty wrote, at least in > part: > > > Or, spend a few bucks, get your own domain name. > > > > I recently changed a few of my email addresses that were > > recipients of s p a m. Is it possible to do your s p a m bouncing thing without having a hosting service (more expense) which has an AutoResponder function?
