I would install it and see if there is any change good or bad to the system performance.

It can't hurt to try. In win 98's msconfig you can limit how much ram to use but this seems best used when dual booting with something like win2k, XP, or Linux.

Oh yes, everyone has something different, It's from all the different hardware combinations available.
