When you get the PC you need to search the archives for XP related issues. XP has about 30+ things running the background (called 'services') and many of which you DO NOT want running. XP is a sort of "spyware" and "trackware" itself if you don't know how to set it up correctly. You'd be horrified to find out what it not only sends back to MS, but to other software vendors. Checking out the archives would help you with this, and you should also do some searches on it at a search engine for things like "XP services", "XP background services", etc. for info on everything that can be unloaded.
It also looks like "Fisher-Price" or AOL when you use it at default settings. I hated this and changed all the appearance and customizations to "Windows Classic" so it would look and act more like '98. You may happen to like the way it looks though, that's just a matter of opinion. I was so used to '98x that I didn't like XP's default layout/setup. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Helene" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Clint..
