I've set up a lot of Dells this year, and the first thing I do is get rid of McAfee and install AVG. AVG usually complains about other AV programs if they're installed. I also spent a lot of time uninstalling all Norton products, which don't always play nice. You don't need Go Back, as XP comes with System Restore. I have updated all vir** files. etc.. What is the privacy service. and should I install that on the computer... I think I'm going to keep McAfee on this. for a while.. then when everything is up and running - for a few weeks... I"ll install Norton System Works 2003.. When I do install Norton.. I want to install the Vir** protection. the one step.. and go back.. But "not clean sweep?? Is that correct??
Also, want to install Ad-aware again. and can't find out. Where is it located. I went to Lavasoft..and can't figure out which one to install.. Have to install Adobe again....
