This is just another typical BS spam from yet another parasitic infestation. Get used to it. :(
>From the looks of it, it was originally in HTML format and you either tried to post it to the list (which will not work since the list only plain text), or your email program (or some other on your end) converted it from HTML format to plain text. That's why there are no active links in it. In your case below, that IP address of 68.226.240.95 is indeed Cox. But just because headers may have in them "cox", or "earthink" or whatever the case may be, that does NOT ALWAYS mean they are from that ISP. A large majority of the time (especially with APNIC, RIPE and LACNIC) they all use forged email headers and all you can go by is the IP address. In this case below, the "cox" and the IP was correct in the same. DON'T EVER leave those so called "meaningless 'gobble-digook'" in ANY emails such as this when you report them. This is one way how terrorists communicate. YES, they communicate via UCE and those words are some code they decipher and use, and THEY KNOW what they mean. Usually in the cases of APNIC, LACNIC and RIPE ISP's, they are FULLY AWARE of what's going on, and when you leave those words in the emails you report, they WILL "pass them along" to the cyber-terrorists and *REAL* terrorists. On a somewhat lesser note, but still as aggravating; those words are also many times LINKED TO YOU, the scumbags associate these "seemingly meaningless words" to YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! So if you report the email and leave all "those words" intact, they WILL INDEED "get back to you" with retaliation because they will know whom the person was that reported it even if you use a proxy reporting service!! So, watch it! Since we're on the subject, I better paste more info below from a previous post regarding 'hidden info' in UCE..... ".....You need to get the full headers of these type emails and report them, and get the URL's from the email and put them through NeoTrace for example to see their real origin. Also in cases like this*, NEVER leave the URL's as-is, for they usually have a unique identifiable URL suffix in them that will tell them who you are. Such as www.whatever.com/?ID=123456 so you always remove that ending. If you report them and leave the URL's in the email untouched, they'll know who you are and will reciprocate....and of course you need to report them from an anonymous email address...." "......in HTML formatted email you of course won't be able to see the URL's so you have to temporarily set your email program to reply in the format received so you can click "forward" for the email, then open the "source" tab at the bottom so you can see the HTML code. Then "select all" of the code then paste it into Notepad, then do a "replace" to search for your email address (or some common ID # you'll find strung out within the code) and replace with ***** or whatever you want. This is much faster than manually searching through the entire email for your email address or some unique ID #. Then when you're finished, paste it back in place of the old HTML code ---------------- *This was referring to an HTML formatted UCE -Clint Happy New Year to all & God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barngoddess" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello, All! I received an email from an "unknown" with 'gobble-digook' as the text. I am sending the details to you. I will not, of course, be replying. Besides forwarding it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (I hope that's right..), what else can I do? Hope everyone is staying warm. Here in NC we are experiencing a c-c-c-cold snap (teens) after last week's lower 70 degrees F temps. The bradford pear trees were beginning to bud. Talk about confusing!!
