PCWorks: Sygate Personal Firewall shuts down

A friend using Sygate Personal Firewall 5.5 on XP finds this version to 
shut down on it's own, the service quits completely. Previously on version 
5 it was flawless.

I am trying 5.5 right now, I was using 5 before, so I'm waiting to see if 
it cuts out. And it just did too.

Has anyone else run into this with SPF?
