Hello Harold and all...... Window 98 SE........I.E 6.0 This solved the problem for me.
Open Browser......drag the window to maximize it to full size. Then Control Alt delete to close the browser by clicking on End Task. When you open browser again it is still maximized. One more thing that might have something to do with it. Right click start menu, choose Explore, view, folder options, view tab and put a check mark in save each folders view settings......
