They don't necessarily have to, to have had anything to do with WS FTP. The only way is to open each cookie it removed and read them, and see if some other program or URL is listed within them....unless it's obvious from where they came from the name alone. Many times a cookie's name will have little resemblance to what it's for or from. Like I said before, I don't think it's a cookie. WS FTP uses a .ini file with login info in it and SpyBot probably tags that as a "usage track" and prompts to remove it, or it may tag it in the area of logfiles, or User Assistant, or still yet some other name. -Clint

None of them said WS_FTP in them. Lisa -----Original Message----- Jeff Dougherty Lisa, Open spy bot and click the restore button, then look at the cookies before you delete and uncheck any that have WS_FTP in them. Jeff Dougherty ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Schnepf" < Hi Clint, I just checked the restore in Spybot, and it looks like mostly cookies were deleted for tracking on websites. I don't know if anything was associated with WS_FTP Pro. I had a few other problems, too, like my digital camera software not working and had to reinstall that, too. Do we have to keep the spyware on our computers in order for other software to run properly? Kind of seems illegal to me. I didn't restore anything yet. As for doing a system restore, I would have to go too far back and would lose too much. Lisa ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
