It seems you have logic problems in your hdd, I suggest you run
scandisk first. Most probably FAT does not match with the directory
structure. (this is a fairly common problem in FAT16/32, NOT
in NTFS)

When I search for this folder on my hard drive it is not there.
I am unable to change the name  or delete it because it is not there.

However it shows in  Network Neighborhood that it is on my PC.
