Response from another English teacher: LESS is used with "uncountable"
nouns, and FEWER with "countable" nouns. (I think you just made a typo,
Ann)!
Thus: less memory, less hassle, less disk space, but FEWER people, FEWER
clicks, FEWER programs ...
