Hi Jo and all,

On rare occasions I've had to disable all other boot devices in the BIOS
(while leaving the CD-Rom drive as the primary boot device). At the
first reboot I then change the boot order back to normal.

HTH,
Chuck

Subject: PCWorks: Installing Win Xp

Hi Guys and Gals

Ive just finished reformatting my hubbys hard drive Pent III 866 and am
having problems trying to install Win XP

Ive done the FDISK and FORMAT C fine but just cant seem to work out the
next step.

Ive changed the BIOS to boot from CD Rom but it wont do it. It accepts
that the CD rom is there but still keep wanting to boot from the floppy
startup disk.

If i remove the start up disk and reboot it tells me to put it back in.

Help please

Thanks

Jo Walker
