> Hi Harold ... If you prefer to go the free route, go here,
http://www.oehelp.com/oebackup/default.aspx ... and get OEQuickBackup, works
like a dream --- John

John, I would send this off the list but I don't have your email address (you
are "email protected"). A little problem: Before I start, you should know I
already have a backup folder on my flash drive. Now let's see what happens
when I start the OE Backup program: (and keep in mind this is no emergency as
I have no trouble backing OE up the manual way):

Upon opening it, I get this window: "Please select a backup folder before
proceeding further" ... and an "OK" button.

I click "OK" and another window opens, "OE Freebie Backup" saying "Backup
Folder" and in red, "None Selected" and two buttons: "Complete Backup" and
"Complete Restore" and below, a check box on the left ".... to overwrite
backed up files" and an "Exit" button.

Upon clicking "Complete Backup" I get another window again saying "Please
select a backup folder or create one from the Tools menu" and "OK"

Clicking "OK" keeps giving me that same window, "Please select... etc." and
eventually a different window, "Selecct File name" saying "The destination
does not support long file names. Please enter a name for the file." and
giving some "Original path" and another line saying "To folder: None Selected"
and a box, "New name: and in my case in the box it says "Compaq_O.wab" (now I
know wab is my address book) ... and an "OK" button and a "Cancel" button.

Eventually these buttons bring me back to the "OE Freebie Backup" window and
"Please select..."

Seems I'm going in a circle when as I said above, I already have a backup
folder on my flash drive. Any suggestion? Like yours, I'd like mine to work
like a dream too Hope it doesn't turn out to be a nightmare; people will be
laughing saying, "See what happens when you go for freebies?" As I said, it's
no emergency. --- Harold :-)
