Vern:
Had a Random rebooting on a motherboard that turned out to be a problem with
one of the 5V connector pins in the power plug to the motherboard. It went
on for a long time and eventually burned a 1/2 " hole on the pack side of
the motherboard.
I changed out the P/S ..no help. Had I looked close at the P/S connector and
the area on the back of the M/B I might have seen the start of the
discoloration  before it ate it's self, since the problem was several months
in developing. I think the failing connection was where the pin went through
the M/B to the buss.
Early on I could tap on the M/B and cause the reboot
