[PDF-Basics] change the resolution of pdf files?

I have created a very nice presentation quality document with acrobat.  I originally meant for it to be print quality, thus saved it at a very hi res.  Now I want to produce the same document in a low-res version for electronic distribution.  Can this be done with acrobat or do I have to recompile the entire document?  Thanks.   Joshua K.
