Saving in any lower level like standard or screen works but shows a >Helvetica font problem. >3. The color ad I am saving turns black and white. Why? Brad, You SHOULD still be able to Distill an eps file, provided that you have all of your fonts OPEN (via Suitcase or some other font manager) when you save the eps, AND when you Distill the file - including Helvetica even if you think you haven't used it. Quark may be using this font for crop marks or something. We do it this way this all the time (Quark 4, Distiller 4 and 5). Also make sure that you embed all fonts in Distiller, and in the Color tab under Job Options, the Settings File should be at "Color Management Off." Be sure that the graphics in your color ad are properly set (CMYK, not RGB). If you're still having problems, send me a link to look at your Quark 4.0 file. Jim Corbran Prepress Dept.
