Rich,

Too bad. My first thought was KEWL! I was hoping I had just missed it. You can save the file as text which appears to save all the text in the file as straight ascii. I suppose with proper creation of the original PDF you could in fact make the RFP an image so that only the answers would be saved in the text file. That would allow fairly easy parsing of the response file, but if the requester had this in mind I would certainly think that it would behove them to make that process clear as part of the document. I suspect what they had in mind really was the snail mail or fax options however. Pity.

Melvin,

I stand corrected.

You are supposed to be able to "export" the data only, or print (and snail
mail or fax the form), but in my version of Reader 6.01, which I just
downloaded, the feature seemed to be missing.

This seems clunky, at best. The export feature is MIA from my Reader, and I
wonder how many small to medium-sized businesses are prepared to handle XML
data?

I was too elated that Adobe finally made the forms process accessible to
all. But sadly, the process is still a long way from being effective and
efficient.

Sorry Rich, but I believe you're mistaken on this one. I just tried it to
confirm with Reader 6.0.0.5 and here's what I get.

Is there some magic I've missed?
