We recently received a pdf file which generated a postscript error on our
rips after an eps had successfully been made from the original.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out that the file was originally produced
using Adobe Indesign 2.0.2. (each to their own, I suppose!)
By all accounts, the person who supplied the copy had done everything
correctly, ie. generating his pdf from the application he was using,
yet his file still generated an error.
A colleauge of mine mentioned that he had read about the unreliabilty of
creating pdfs from Adobe Indesign before, and this would certainly seem to
back up that theory!
I was just wondering if anyone else had had similar experiences?
You would assume that since Adobe created the program it would be more than
compatible with acrobat/pdf, but this isn't the case on this occasion.

Chris (Express and Star Newspapers).
