FYI - you will need Acrobat 6.0.1 patch to convert AutoCAD 2004 files.
 
Also - I would recommend the Acrobat 6.0.1 patch in general as there were many bugs fixed as well.

Illustrator will open AutoCAD (dwg) files. You can then beef up the lines and colors that don't show up well in the original and resave as a PDF.
