ALL FONTS SHOULD BE EMBEDDED!!!
Even "system fonts" such as Times & Helvetica/Arial vary from Mac to Windows, and EVEN FROM version to version (Win98 vs. Win2K, etc.).
This is why the ISO standards based on PDF (PDF/X and PDF/A) require ALL fonts to be embedded...
