We figured it out. Turned out to be too simple. The PDF's in question didn't have the %%EOF tag on them. I hand-coded that in and PDFLib/PDI opened them fine. Now I just need to figure out how we truncated the %%EOF. Thanks for the replies. -----Original Message----- From: Leonard Rosenthol [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 4:43 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] PDFdev is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com _____________________________________________________________ At 4:16 PM -0500 10/28/03, Campbell, Christopher wrote: >We use a third-party component called PDFLib to create PDF's >programmatically. Yes, though remember that when using PDI you lose all the "non-content elements" of a document (links, structure, bookmarks, etc.) >I am trying to use it to import a particular set of PDF's that were >generated by another utility (iConvert) and I am getting a "PDF Format >Error" at offset 0x00000000. Have you enabled debugging information and the extra error reporting stuff in PDFlib? You can get it to provide you with more detailed info if you want. Can you post one of the problem files? > The PDF in question can be opened with Acrobat no problem. Doesn't make it valid, since Acrobat can read many invalid files & fix them.
