Hi, Rob. The only thing I would add to your thorough description is that the
case is somewhat wider than one might expect it would have to be, simply
because of the presence of the tripod mount and its mounting knobs, and that
the lens sits in the case somewhat off to one side (the side away from the
hinge), rather than sitting concentrically right in the middle, because of
the tripod mount and knobs.
The HF-185B is an effective case for the A* 200/4 Macro, and much more
desirable (in my humble opinion) than is the S80-160, due to the lack of much
impact protection with the pouch.
