My experiments in this area showed that performance of many lenses not designed for macro use did well with lots of tubes and reversing of lenses. I was surprised. I would be surprised if this particular lens wasn't good with that much extension, though there would probably be *some* degradation...depends on your standards on whether it would be too much.
