I've used my K50/1.2 often, and like it.  I also have a K50/1.4, M50/1.4,
FA50/1.4.

It's true the K50/1.2 is a little soft wide open, but even with 1600 speed
film, I've shot handheld in light that only offered 1/30s shutter speed.  A
1.4 wouldn't have allowed the shot handheld.

At f/8 and f/11, the K50/1.2 is truly very sharp, probably sharper than the
50/1.4s.

Is it worth the extra money?  It depends on what you pay for it.  My used
K50/1.2 was only slightly more than a new FA50/1.4.

And the K50/1.2 also matches well with my LX. :)
