FWIW, the ZX-5 light metering system also considers
distance info (F- and FA-lenses only).

Yes the body reads distance info, and also focal lenght in use.
The chip on the lens also includes MTF info (on FA and latest F lenses, the
non-powerzoom versions of some FAs, no the old, first series of autofocus lenses
for SF series), but it can be readed by the PZ1p only. The 5n is analphabet in
modular transfer function affairs :-)
